Performance Physical Therapy in Greenville, SC

Built for those Who Refuse to Quit

Injuries take away a part of who you are. Recurring pain doesn't have to keep you off the trail, out of the saddle, or away from the gym.

Why It's Different

The Kind of PT That Actually Resolves It

At Reliving Performance, every session is one-on-one with your Doctor of Physical Therapy, no techs, no divided attention, no cookie-cutter programs. You get a comprehensive root-cause evaluation and an individualized plan built around your goals and your sport.

1-on-1 With Your Physical Therapist

No assistants, no divided attention, every minute of every session is fully yours. That's how root-cause resolution actually happens.

Root Cause First, Every Time

Every plan starts with the most comprehensive evaluation you've ever had, taking the guesswork out so your treatment actually addresses what's driving the pain.

Board-Certified Expertise

Your PT is residency-trained and Board Certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), one of the few cash-based PTs in Greenville with that credential.

A PT Who Trains the Way You Do

Your physical therapist is a competing triathlete, former powerlifter, and former personal trainer. They understand what it actually means to have a goal on the calendar and what it costs to miss it.

Matt has helped me with 2 different injuries now, shoulder subluxation and elbow tendonitis both in the same arm. He got me back to climbing as quickly as I could've hoped, the only way it could have improved quicker is if I came to him earlier. Highly recommend working with him and I will be back if I injure myself again

The team at Reliving Performance has been so helpful in calming down this neck/nerve pain I was feeling in my left arm. Work and training were limited, even running flared it up. Back on the road to fitness and feeling as good as ever.

Matt is the best PT! During my half marathon training last year, I suffered from plantar fasciitis & ankle pain. He helped me get race ready & helped me build back my strength after the race. Matt is great at checking in each week & adjusting the workouts as needed. I would not have been able to complete my half without his help!

FAQs

Have questions about cash-based PT or what to expect? Here are the most common ones we hear.

Do I need a referral to see Dr. Matt?

No. South Carolina is a direct access state, which means you can book directly without a doctor's referral. We are trained as first-access providers, you can come straight to us.

Do you accept insurance?

We are cash-based and out-of-network. We don't bill insurance directly, but we provide superbills you can submit to your insurer for potential out-of-network reimbursement. We also accept HSA and FSA.

What makes this different from traditional PT?

Traditional PT often means shared sessions, limited time with your provider, and a focus on symptom management rather than root-cause resolution. Here, every session is fully 1-on-1 with your PT, with a comprehensive evaluation, an individualized plan, and no guesswork.

What does the first visit look like?

Our first visit includes the most thorough evaluation you've likely had. Dr. Matt takes the time to hear your full story, assess your movement, identify what's really driving your pain, and start building a clear plan. Treatment often begins in that first session.

Will I have to stop training during recovery?

Not necessarily. The goal is to keep you moving as much as possible while resolving what's holding you back. Many patients find they can continue modified training throughout their recovery. The plan is always built around your goals and your timeline.
